My paintings are postcards from my journey. I believe that one must create on par within their experience and conduct. Therefore I strive for honestly sharing myself. I have many apparently opposing forces as do most humans. The trick to self knowledge is courage. It takes a raw bravery to look inside the "black box" of awareness. Not knowing what you might find out stops quite a few from the journey. This process brings to my art my personal "chart"  as  it is. Creative, yet destructive ie; type "a" personality. Linebacker sized man and racecar driver[which I much prefer to be known] vs being called by my fiancee as a 'super sensitive' human and a "sweetheart." Tell anyone and I kill you! Well, it's ok I guess being known. I am comfortable with the list of opposites balanced in me. I must be in order to be true to my own life.  So, you will find bold, intense color,  contrast, drama, surrealist hints, humor, sensuality, and tactlie surfaces. The strong lines, robust contrasts and soft subtle use of colors are the way I experience the subjects. I love the juxtapositions in nature and find them a delight. Given the choice I want beauty, grace, and humor to carry me through. Hopefully these pstcards carry your imagination...
